THE AMAZING CULTURE

The story of Team Amazing

When COVID hit, Justin Fatica wasn’t able to travel and speak as much due to the lockdown. His oldest son at the time was playing on an AAU basketball team, and the person running the program asked if he would like to coach a team. Justin thought about it and agreed. He coached the team for three reasons:
1. To spend time with his son.
2. To impact lives.
3. To build a gym for people to go to, to be encouraged.

At the first practice, Coach Fatica said to the players, “We’re going to change the world!” And he meant it. As as the team played and came to practice, they also started to believe this and live it out. Team Amazing is more than just basketball. The sport is what brings the boys together, but the team is about learning to be good fathers and husbands, learning the importance of hard work, and above all knowing how AMAZING you are!

So often in sports, businesses, organizations, media, and even family life, there is an “every man for himself” attitude that breeds isolation, loneliness, and toxicity. Our world is in desperate need of change.

Our goal is to spark change by creating an amazing culture that focuses on building a love-based environment. The Amazing culture supports every individual through encouragement, accountability, and positive actions!

A COACH’S IMPACT

Keysonne’s Story

Keysonne is a young boy from Syracuse, NY who plays on an AAU team coached by an Encouragement Coach. His life is being transformed through this Amazing culture, and through having an Encouragement Coach in his life.

There are thousands of youth like Keysonne who are immersed in a culture that will lead them to a life of destruction and loneliness. Team Amazing is a part of the solution to these problems youth are facing in our society today.

Docu-series

In The Paint was able to come about because of Team Amazing. This team is based on the 7 Disciplines of encouragement; it’s about helping young men see their worth and potential and push them to be the AMAZING person they are called to be. When Justin Fatica started coaching basketball, he never expected there to be a series on his team, but because of the impact the boys were making, the docu-series was able to be filmed and share the importance of mentorship and encouragement.

EVERYONE’s A COACH!

Everyone’s a coach! A coach is someone who leads someone to what they personally deem as valuable or important. Parents are coaches because they are showing what’s valuable and important to their kids every single day. Every employee at a company is a coach whether they are a manager, director, service provider, etc. They coach by the hard work they put in, how they manage their team and how they manage decisions each day. The difference between a coach and an Encouragement Coach is that the Encouragement Coach deems wholesome relationships and virtue as more important than success, fame, or status.
